Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:  Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

The United States Army, United States Air Force (USAF) and General Atomics program is looking for an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to serve as the Sustainment Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to plan and execute sustainment strategy of the fielded system, including on-site support staff, field maintenance support, technology upgrades, material procurement, return & repair, and technical assistance.

In the IPT Lead role, you will balance cost and schedule, while delivering a product which is compliant with the contract. This involves developing solutions which are the best fit for the overall program performance, reliability, maintainability and supportability and long-term sustainment. Additionally, the applicant will interface with the Raytheon, government, and third-party technicians, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), and warehousing and logistics personal supporting depot repair activities in Texas, Florida, and Kentucky.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Monitor and track program actions and projects through completion

Lead internal periodic program reviews with core team members. Ensure inputs and statuses are accurate and timely

Facilitate discussion across functions to provide data and status in support of contract deliverables

Serve as Cost Account Manager for program management office and monitor IOT funding.

Participate in program level Short Range Outlook (SRO) and forecast meetings

Act as proposal coordinator and participate in Electro-Optical/Infrared Solutions (EOIRS) proposal status meetings – includes Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Time and Material (T&M) contract types

Contribute to proactive parts procurement discussions to anticipate customer needs

Participate in customer engagements including periodic program reviews and yearly program management reviews

Coordinate Field Service Representative tasking, priority, and work scope based on customer direction. Communicate with Finance and Contracts to verify funding and contractual coverage.

Serve as liaison for Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, participate in quarterly program management reviews, oversee funding process

This position is ONSITE based in McKinney, TX.

Domestic Travel Required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically Requires:  Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM), Logistics, Statistics or Business and a minimum 8 years of relevant Engineering, Program or Project management experience.  An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

Experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk or experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, IMS or IMP tools

Experience with proposal or capture efforts

Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience leading cross functional teams including members from Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Chain, and/or Quality through hardware development, production and test including system test

Experience in Sustainment and lifecycle engineering disciplines

Experience executing DoD sustainment and/or product support activities

Experience with electro-optical/infrared systems, or other advanced electronic system/s

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
