A Typical Day The Senior Vice President, IT Internal Audit provides strategic leadership and oversight to a team of IT auditors and subject matter experts, covering a broad spectrum of technology domains such as network security, cloud infrastructure, software development life cycle, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, vendor management, and disaster recovery. Internal Audit partners with every line of business, giving our group an insightful view into the U.S. mortgage industry and the enterprise’s strategic initiatives. The Senior Vice President, IT Internal Audit provides will: Be the Head of IT Audit, leading the strategic direction of the annual risk assessments across the technology landscape, working closely with executive technology leadership, to formulate a comprehensive 3-year IT audit strategic plan Establish and drive a robust and comprehensive risk-based IT audit strategy that aligns with the company's mission, strategic objectives, and evolving regulatory landscape Direct the execution of integrated audits in collaboration with business audit teams across the enterprise, covering areas such as mortgage fulfillment, capital markets, finance, servicing, risk, legal, and other enterprise shared services Oversee the design and implementation of advanced audit procedures, leveraging industry-leading frameworks, technical system manuals and configurations, best practice configurations, advanced data analytics, and automation techniques to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness Cultivate strong relationships with executive management to drive strategic remediation of critical IT control deficiencies, ensuring the protection of company assets, operational integrity, and strategic objectives Develop and present clear, insightful, and value-adding audit reports to the Board’s Audit Committee, executive leadership, and management committees, providing actionable recommendations and strategic insights Lead advisory engagements in emerging and critical areas, providing expert guidance to management on improving the control environment and aligning with strategic initiatives Continuously evaluate and refine audit policies, procedures, and methodologies, incorporating cutting-edge best practices, emerging technologies, and lessons learned to elevate the department’s mission as outlined in our Audit Charter What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in external audit, internal audit, or technology risk management, including a minimum of 2 years as Head of IT Audit role; Big 4 or equivalent experience strongly preferred. Proven history of presenting to the Board of Directors’ Audit Committees. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing IT Audit teams. Minimum of one recognized technology, security, and/or audit certifications required (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA, CPA, etc.). Extensive experience with audit, internal control, and financial institution examination methodologies (IIA, GTAG, ISACA, COBIT, FFIEC, etc.). Proficiency in database querying and advanced data analytics (Microsoft SQL, Snowflake, Python, etc.).
