SVP: Technology Regulatory Governance, Advisory and Framework Lead - C14 (Hybrid)

The Technology & Business Enablement (TBE) Chief Operating Office (TBE COO) is a driving factor in delivering value to our organization, businesses, regulators, and stakeholders.  With responsibility for Control, Tech Business Execution, Tech Quality Assurance, Tech Data Transformation, Tech Regulatory Management and Governance, and the Tech Analytics and Decision Management, the TBE COO enables the organization to execute on the TBE Vision and Strategy.

The Technology Regulatory Governance, Advisory and Framework Lead (C14, SVP) will report to the Head of Technology Regulatory Management and Governance and will be instrumental in establishing and implementing common standards, procedures and governance processes for best-in-class regulatory engagement and communications protocols.   Key activities include developing and maintaining the repositories for regulatory standards and communications and monitoring the implementation to ensure they are consistently followed across all types of regulatory interactions (recurring and ad-hoc), ongoing supervision and exam management.  In addition, this role will assist in the development of regulatory communications and regulatory exam coordination protocols. This role will benefit from a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within Technology and the ability to frame communications for executive and regulatory audiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development and implementation of regulatory relations oversight structure to drive consistent and clear communications and reporting in key regulatory forums and updates.

Monitor the implementation of escalation criteria and practices to ensure issues and risks are escalated timely and reporting to the regulators occurs appropriately, consistently and at the right levels.

Implement and maintain the use of standardized tools and templates in the global execution of regulatory engagements

Perform regular monitoring routines across the technology business globally to ensure consistency and compliance with the regulatory governance framework requirements.

Participate in the monitoring routines and partnership with Regulatory Engagement, ICRM, Risk, Internal Audit and Legal, as well as other Citi sectors (where appropriate for firm wide examinations) to ensure consistency and compliance with the regulatory governance framework requirements.

Establish partnership and communications protocol with Citigroup regulatory engagement teams to ensure consistency in approach and communications across the group, as well as provide regular status updates on progress for certain efforts and issues.

Partner across the Technology businesses, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk Management functions to drive accountability to deliver on regulatory requirements, including coordination of drafting of regulatory response letters for owned matters.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for senior management to provide regular status updates on regulatory interactions, exams, and issues management

Design and develop strawman presentation materials to be leveraged by participants in regulatory meetings, in order to ensure consistency of messaging.  Create process to ensure all final materials being used are reviewed prior to sending to the regulators

Competencies:

6-10+ years of relevant experience financial services, regulatory engagement or consulting, particularly involving writing and copy-editing.Resilient, self-aware, humble, and execution focused.Delivery focused with ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.Demonstrates thought leadership, innovation, good judgement and problem-solving skills.Adept at synthesizing large amounts of information and providing concise messaging.Confident and has the ability to structure, summarize, present project status as well as defend recommendations and outcomes.Can work effectively in a team-based, collaborative leadership model; a team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work.Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.Self-starter who brings high sense of urgency to assignments and goals.Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude.Highly organized and detail oriented.Comfortable with ambiguity and change and working in a large, complex organization.High degree of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.Previous experience of interacting and working with Executive Leaders. The role requires leadership presence, subject matter expertise, and the finesse to work with industry leaders and senior executives.Extremely proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; database and report writing knowledge is a plus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
