Overview As a member of Gallagher Bassett Claims leadership team Senior Vice President – Workers’ Compensation is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the Midwest & Southwest region claims management organization. Reporting to EVP – WC, Senior Vice President - WC Claims Operation will provide service excellence, technical and directional guidance to the claims organization responsible for regional claim administration of Workers’ Compensation Risk Management claims. The candidate must reside in one of the Midwest states. How you'll make an impact Establish a uniform approach to the organizational model, structure, and staffing requirements consistent with the needs of the Risk Management and large account market expectations Develop and reinforce service standard excellence practices with a focus on exceptional service delivery, outcome-based claims management, and superior quality claims product Drive strong retention and engagement of staff; foster a collaborative and inclusive environment Participate in talent acquisition, interviewing, and hiring activity to ensure excellent talent selection for each role Design operational processes and workflows to support efficiency and maximize productivity Administer and execute performance management initiatives in accordance with AJG HR policies and procedures Provide organizational and leadership support to advance corporate initiatives and strategic partnerships throughout the organization Develop and implement strategic plans for the area of responsibility in alignment with broader organizational goals Build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, clients, carriers, and others Act as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert on behalf of Gallagher Bassett Midwest and Southwest claims regions Serve as the key claims liaison on sensitive claims, service issues, attending claim reviews for at-risk business, helping to communicate related branch action plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage technology, analytics, and new products and services to improve client and employee experience Perform other duties as assigned About You Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years related experience required. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in varying level claims leadership roles Track record of exceptional claims leadership and strategic leadership experience Prior experience in Midwestern and Southwestern jurisdictions strongly preferred Prior TPA claims leadership experience strongly preferred Industry designations (e.g. AIC, ARM, CPCU) strongly preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation rules and regulations Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and develop solutions Excellent problem-solving skills Detail-oriented, proven quality-focused leader Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years related experience required. #LI-JA1 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
