The SVP-Manager, Account Management leads the overall account management strategy for the U.S. Public Finance market. This role involves managing a team of professionals to ensure policies, objectives, and initiatives are met. The SVP-Manager, Account Management creates strategies for building client relationships, generating new business, and driving revenue growth. Additionally, the role builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and the industry.
The SVP-Manager, Account Management is responsible for initiating and promoting a positive relationship with new and existing customers, proactively providing customer service, retaining and growing revenues for the US Public Finance market. The position reports to the MD - Relationship Management for U.S. Public Finance in the Global Commercial Group.
Must be focused on high level strategy and best-in-class customer service.
Qualifications:
10-15 year’s business experience, preferably in client relationship, sales, business development or accounting/finance capacityExperience managing/mentoring a teamStrong knowledge of the U.S. Public Finance market, financial institutions and capital markets is requiredExcellent verbal communication skills, strong writing, negotiation and interpersonal skillsMust be organized, diligent and have the ability to multi-task, with strong time management skillsSelf-starter with strong time management skills and an ability to effectively meet tight deadlines for multiple projects, requiring prioritization and continuous follow-upAbility to be proactive and exercise initiativesPrefer strong experience in using Salesforce, MS Office, PowerPoint and ExcelMust be a team player, proactive, with a can-do attitudeEducation:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field (Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Accounting)Responsibilities:
Manage a team of professionals to ensure policies, objectives, and initiatives are met Participate in direct issuer calls/visits (as warranted) to enhance account relationships, negotiate fees and illustrate the Moody’s Value propositionAdhere to all compliance protocols Work independently to handle aspects of business relationships with existing customers and intermediariesLead US Public Finance Account Management team knowledge of Moody’s Ratings processes & products (including sustainability, cybersecurity & digital finance) in order to secure new rating mandates and revenue.Negotiate fee and fee terms for complex fee arrangements while maintaining customer satisfaction and retentionCreative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutionsLead and participate in various ongoing and ad hoc projectsEffectively track billing and pricing functions of team Interact with internal teams such Compliance, Legal, Pricing, Finance and affiliates of Moody’sPosition requires travel 4-6 times per year throughout U.S.; also, as needed for customer outreach.Work in the New York office a minimum of two days per week to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $192,500.00 - $279,200.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
