The SVP of Revenue & Operations is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Company, from day-to-day oversight to long-term strategy. In particular, the position will focus on sales, events, and product development, working closely with colleagues responsible for editorial content to ensure that financial and audience engagement goals are met. Additionally, the position will develop long-term strategies that will drive revenue, audience, and engagement growth for the Company.

+ Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives
+ Team Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets
+ Oversee the daily operations of the business, set strategic goals, managing teams, and ensuring the company achieves its key audience and revenue objectives
+ Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
+ Event-related sales strategy & Planning: Direct and align the overall operational and strategic goals of the events-related business
+ Financial Management: Overseeing budgeting, expense management, and revenue generation related to sales and events, ensuring profitability and financial health
+ Strategic Planning and Product Development: Develop and implement strategies for business growth, including identifying new revenue streams and market opportunities
+ Maintain continuous and effective internal communications by involving staff in the goals and objectives of the company
+ Perform other related duties as required
Requirements & Skills:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. MBA or comparable experience highly preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years of successful experience leading a comparable sales organization or division
+ Proven track record of:
+ Driving sales individually and with a team
+ Digital sales expertise
+ D.C. specific relationships
+ Other progressive management experience may be considered
Salary Range: $275,000 - 325,000
