NCR Voyix is looking for a Software Engineer Manager to join our team in Atlanta. NCR Edge is creating a highly scalable, hybrid (cloud and on-premises), multi-region solution leveraging cutting edge technology solutions.  Be part of creating a new era in NCR Voyix’s 135-year history by leading the cloud expansion of our most critical services.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

Mentor and lead a team of software engineers within the scope of their projects and performanceManage project timelines and resources, mitigating risks and resolving issues proactivelyContribute and help lead architecture, design, and development for your team(s)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectivesFacilitate the right outcomes with data and conviction using diplomacyStay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating insights into team strategiesSet and track performance goals, providing regular feedback and professional development opportunitiesMaintain a manner of leadership and flexibility that diffuses pressure and promotes a team atmosphereSupport an open, learning, and progressive environment to allow the team's exploration of new solutions Ensure right mix of personalities or skills in the project team composition by hiring top candidatesAdjusts and delegates team priorities to fit new circumstances and maneuvers around roadblocksAdvocate for the utilization of the SW Development lifecycleOversee the design, development, and deployment of applications using Kubernetes, GCP, Golang, and related technologiesDrive the adoption and integration of KCC, Bazel, and Grafana to optimize development workflows and system monitoring

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 5-8 years of experience in software engineering  Strong believer in Infrastructure as Code Strong understanding of distributed computing and best practices around SaaSHands on experience developing software with best practices for the full software development life cycle including code reviews and standards, source control management, continuous integration, testing and operationsStrong negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skillsHigh maturity of diplomacy and ability to see and rationalize multiple points of viewExperience with Agile software developmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Hands on experience developing and deploying containerized applications to GCPProven expertise in Kubernetes, GCP, Golang, KCC, Bazel, and GrafanaFamiliarity with Dev Ops tools: CI/CD & Dev Ops: Github, Github ActionsFamiliarity with collaboration and issue tracking using GitHubStrong computer science fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures & algorithm
