Dream Job-Teach Kids to Swim
British Swim School - Calling all superheroes!
If you are looking for your first dream job, this is it!
With us you get all these great benefits:
· You can make a difference in people’s lives.
· You can work short shifts - no more than 4-6 hours at a time ( you’ll still have plenty of time for other fun)
· You get to play with kids while working, and let your inner-child shine!
· You can help others succeed and achieve their goals.
· You get valuable, real job experience.
· Working individually as well as part of a team.
· Learn how to think on your feet and solve problems quickly.
· We will pay you to take your birthday off.
· A great casual and fun environment.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, then we want you on our team! Join us at the British Swim School where our methods of teaching children to adults have been proven for over 35 years.
We offer paid training and flexible shifts. You can work as few as 10 hours a week or work up 20-30 hours per week. You will have plenty of spare time to spend your hard-earned cash!
So what do you really need to know about this job?
· You’ll be a swim instructor/teacher – but don’t worry, you don’t need to be a competitive swimmer to be able to teach.
· Yes, you’ll be in a pool – it’s heated and indoors.
· You should enjoy working/playing with kids (kind of like babysitting, except they’re not sleeping; you’re only with them for 30 minutes and then they go home with Mom or Dad)
· You will be required to smile and give high-fives and sing songs (no, it doesn’t mean you need to be the next American Idol – if you sing in the shower, that counts!).
· You must be able to show up for work on time.
· You must be able to communicate with other members of the team – this means you must be able to send and answer texts/emails/phone calls (you’re on your phone all the time anyway, this shouldn’t be too hard).
· You must pass a background check.
· You must have reliable transportation.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: It would be great if you are already Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certified. You’ll be eligible to start at a higher rate of pay, however, if you are not, you have to be willing to get certified. We may potentially pay for your certification.
