Job Summary: Answer incoming calls for the PBX system for the patients, employees, and customers with Choctaw Nation Health Care and routes calls to the appropriate department. Associate will assist patients in verifying and scheduling appointments and update patient demographics in RPMS. You will report to Switchboard Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
Answer phone promptly (within 3 rings) using CNHSA greeting. Relays all incoming, outgoing and intersystem calls. Routes all calls to the appropriate department and takes detailed messages properly. Scans RPMS for existing patient charts. Establish temporary charts for new patients. Screens patient charts to verify eligibility and ensures all required documentation is on file and up to date. Complete pre-registration and reminder calls for assigned providers. Along with contacting and rescheduling patients in the event of clinic cancelation. Announce emergency codes on overhead page system. Submit medication refill requests to appropriate pharmacy staff. Answer generic questions asked by patients such as hours of operation, directions to the clinic, walk-in hours, services offered. Monitor patient requests from MyCNHSA app and scheduling or forwarding requests. Other responsibilities as may be assigned within the scope and competency of the associate.Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED You will communicate by telephone with the public, other departments and members of the medical staff Computer knowledge with typing accuracy at 35wpm You will protect patient confidentiality You will communicates with public with a respectful image.
