Switchboard Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Siemens Spartanburg is looking for a Switchboard Assembly Supervisor for our 2nd shift. Our growing facility has over 800 employees that produce high-quality, engineered, and make -to-order power distribution equipment. The production supervisor is the key driver of all daily production related processed and the hub of information transfer between the hourly work force and Management, Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing and Planning. The base shift is 2:30pm-11:00pm, with overtime up to two hours common, some Saturdays being common with occasional Sundays. This person will have 35 - 40 direct reports.

Responsibilities

Improve safety for all personnel that work in and around SWBD AssemblyDrive efforts and initiatives to reduce production errors, improve product quality and increase productivity.Adhere to production schedule by establishing priorities, assigning personnel to work areas, monitoring progress, making personnel/priority adjustments, resolving constraint problems, and escalating barriers.Work closely with planning and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and schedule adherence.Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Testing teams to ensure product qualitySupport digitalization efforts to implement tools such as Digital Wok instructions, Operator Displays, Performance/Status Dashboards, and other connected tools.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or 3+ years of successful experience as a leader in a manufacturing environment will be consideredCompletion of relevant projects to improve safety, quality, delivery reliability and cost in manufacturing environment.Able to interpret engineering drawings and 2D / 3D blueprints.Proficient with Microsoft office products.Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or other environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing experienceElectrical distribution product knowledgeExperience with SAP and DMMExperience with make to order product.

The pay for this position is  $49,350 - $84,600 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
