This Custom Manufacturing Associate is part of the Synthetic Biology value stream located in Coralville, IA and will work on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Be responsible for handling orders that fall outside of standard manufacturing processes + Assist in the creation and execution of customized solutions to meet specific customer requirements and the development, automation, and implementation of novel processes and products within IDT + Collaborate cross functionally within IDT to support the completion of complex and specialized projects for key opinion leaders and high value customers The essential requirements of the job include: + Associate or b achelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related science field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Minimum of two years wet lab experience using nucleic acids (cloning, PCR, NGS, CRISPR or similar) required. + Previous industry experience preferred, particularly synthetic biology related applications It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Experience with lab automation and liquid handling; Proficiency in data analysis preferred + Comfortable with rapid changes in projects and goals and reprioritization of tasks + Ability to work independently and collaboratively with little direction from supervisors This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
