Job Responsibilities:

The internship will provide an opportunity for the intern to perform project-linked and focused experimentation within the MITRE Biology Laboratory under the guidance of Ph.D.-level researchers.  The responsibilities of the position include DNA and RNA extraction from human biological samples within the lab, while maintaining precise, descriptive, and complete notes of the process to maintain sample integrity for downstream processing.   

Basic Qualifications:

Biological laboratory experience Demonstrated experience working with DNA/RNA extraction Demonstrated experience working under aseptic technique protocols Demonstrated experience working with DNA/RNA contamination control  Sustained excellence in academic performance Must be a student currently enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Biology or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.
