In the Parallel Medicinal Chemistry (PMC) group, we accelerate drug discovery pipeline programs through innovative high throughput chemistry. In practice, we synthesize libraries of 10s to 100s of compounds in parallel using groundbreaking chemistry and automation techniques. We are seeking a motivated chemist to join the PMC team located in San Diego, California, as a summer intern. The internship program is focused on providing an undergraduate college student the opportunity to learn about the role of organic chemistry in drug discovery research. In this role, you will develop impactful chemistry that will grow the library chemistry toolbox. You will learn to carry out high throughput experiments, and build an understanding of what makes a useful reaction for library synthesis. The position offers real-life training in the laboratory techniques and automation for library synthesis.

The parallel medicinal chemistry intern will:
