(LCT-GIS) 

 

STS training solutions span the entire training life cycle - from instructional systems design to fully integrated, high-fidelity simulators. Products include a full range of sophisticated visual simulation software, image generators, databases, synthetic environments, display systems and full flight simulator building blocks, designed to meet training requirements for commercial airline and military pilots, tactical helicopters operators. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

The successful applicant will need to ensure all airport content developed meets internal and International regulatory standards. 

The successful applicant will need to understand Collins’ internal and external customers’ requirements and develop appropriate documentation and content. 

An ability to manage their time effectively be self-directed (where appropriate), prioritizing tasks against sometimes challenging timeframes. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR 

In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience or Skill Must/Desirable: 

4+ year experience in GIS Domain. 

Experience in the development of GIS-Geographic Information System content. 

Experience with Vector/ Land-use data editing. 

Experience with ArcInfo, or ArcGIS software preferred.  Also experience with Global Mapper software desired. 

Knowledge of GIS technologies such as Point, Vector, Areal and Linear features.  

Capability to manually and algorithmically edit multiple types of features.  Algorithms may include, thinning, changing properties on desired classes, deleting unwanted features. 

Exposure to advance 3D software and Tools 

Strong communications and interpersonal skills. 

Self-motivated and passionate team player.
