Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a system Admin, Health IT. - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of responsibilities:
Create, configure, maintain, and support the College of Nursing’s physical machines, as well as virtual machines for College of Nursing faculty.
Maintain Windows servers and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SCCM and Intune.
Provide technical support for faculty, staff, and clinical software (e.g. eValue).
Deploy Windows OS to new computers and map network devices.
Manage the College's Help Desk system and respond to IT requests.
Troubleshoot and maintain printers, copiers, and office equipment.
Maintain and update IT inventory, digital signage, and internal database.
Assist with special projects, including:
Classroom AV upgrades
Clinic infrastructure setup
Simulation lab construction
Live streaming of college events
Project & Operational Support:
Assist the Senior Executive Director with non-technical tasks, including planning and supporting construction projects and college events.
Coordinate with vendors and FAU’s OIT department for project execution.
Research, recommend and support technology purchase for the College.
Travel frequently to partner campuses (Davie, West Palm Beach and Harbor Branch).

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited institution and one year of experience; or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution and three years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from an accredited institution and four years of appropriate experience required.Valid Florida's Driver's License required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and virtualization (e.g., VMware).
Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Certifications: CompTIA Network+ OR Security+
