Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking a system Admin, Health IT. - Boca Raton, FL. Summary of responsibilities: + Create, configure, maintain, and support the College of Nursing’s physical machines, as well as virtual machines for College of Nursing faculty. + Maintain Windows servers and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SCCM and Intune. + Provide technical support for faculty, staff, and clinical software (e.g. eValue). + Deploy Windows OS to new computers and map network devices. + Manage the College's Help Desk system and respond to IT requests. + Troubleshoot and maintain printers, copiers, and office equipment. + Maintain and update IT inventory, digital signage, and internal database. + Assist with special projects, including: + Classroom AV upgrades + Clinic infrastructure setup + Simulation lab construction + Live streaming of college events Project & Operational Support: + Assist the Senior Executive Director with non-technical tasks, including planning and supporting construction projects and college events. + Coordinate with vendors and FAU’s OIT department for project execution. + Research, recommend and support technology purchase for the College. + Travel frequently to partner campuses (Davie, West Palm Beach and Harbor Branch). Valid Florida's Driver's License required. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and virtualization (e.g., VMware). Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell). Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Certifications: CompTIA Network+ OR Security+ Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year.
