Base pay starting between $100,000 to $127,000/yr with annual performance-based merit raises*

Job Duties
The System Administration Lead oversees the implementation, support, and optimization of enterprise systems including virtualization, storage, Active Directory, and cloud services. This role ensures high availability, security, and scalability of infrastructure while mentoring technical teams and aligning operations with organizational goals. The lead also drives continuous improvement through performance monitoring, capacity planning, and the adoption of emerging technologies. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential to guide cross-functional collaboration and maintain operational excellence.
Oversee System Infrastructure and PlanningLead the continuous improvement of virtualization, server, and storage infrastructure to align with organizational goals.Establish Monitoring and Alerting ProtocolsDefine standards and oversee implementation of system monitoring, log review, and alert response processes to ensure proactive issue resolution.Lead Performance and Availability ManagementSet performance baselines, review uptime metrics, and guide root cause analysis for infrastructure issues across teams.Direct Backup and Disaster Recovery StrategyEnsure enterprise backup systems are robust, tested, and aligned with business continuity requirements.Evaluate and Recommend Emerging TechnologiesStay informed on industry trends and lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies that enhance operational efficiency.Champion Security Best PracticesPromote a security-first culture by embedding security considerations into all infrastructure decisions and team practices.Lead Capacity Planning and Scalability InitiativesForecast infrastructure needs and lead initiatives to scale systems in support of organizational growth.Mentor and Support Technical TeamsProvide guidance to infrastructure engineers and help desk teams, ensuring knowledge transfer, skill development, and effective issue escalation.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.5 or years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role
Knowledge of security principles, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks
Understanding of capacity planning, scalability, and long term road mapping
Skilled in managing system infrastructure projects, timelines, and cross-functional coordination
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
