System Administrator Location Marshall Islands - Kwajalein Atoll Job Code 12419 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=12419) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Systems Administrator to support our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: + Perform baseline NEC server administration duties and system administration duties for mission support. + Provide appropriate Desktop Support related reports, activities, and\or verification per the Performance Work Statement (PWS). + Provide support for hardware monitoring, for file, print, common user application servers, and server farms/banks. + Monitor file shares and provide support via ServiceNow tickets. + Support file shares via ServiceNow tickets for units without Active Directory credentials. + Provide and install hardware, operating system, and software for file, print, common user applications servers, and server farms/banks. + Perform system backups for each file, print, and common user applications server. + Create and utilize scripts with PowerShell to automate routing system and user management tasks. + Manage ticket queue and escalate unresolved issues in a timely fashion. + Report significant issues daily, communicate all outages or hazardous conditions per NEC-KA, RCCP, and USAG-KA reporting requirements. + Manage objects within the Microsoft Active Directory Organizational Unit structure, to include but not limited to, Group Policy management and configuration, management of computer/server objects, create user accounts, and assigning local roles and permissions (create, maintain, and delete user accounts) in accordance with Army Enterprise Standards + Perform administration and maintenance on Microsoft Windows server platforms, Virtual Machine software (VMWare), various Storage Area Networks (SAN), Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform servers; and as required Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Cisco Unity Unified Messaging and supported subsystems. + Ensure all NEC-managed servers are compliant with STIGs/SCAP, up to date with latest patches, and scanned via ACAS monthly. + Install security, operating system service packs, patches, application updates and patches, and DISA security technical implementation guides (STIG) on all common user servers. + Perform and analyze STIG and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans and provide reports to the COR and LNEC-KA Cybersecurity Division + Conduct Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, mitigate vulnerabilities discovered, and conduct an additional ACAS scan to ensure remediation is complete. + Mitigate findings and coordinate with Cybersecurity team to create/maintain a plan of action and milestones (POA&M) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) entries. + Proactively monitor, plan, and implement Cyber tasks + Perform release management, to include commercial software, standard software, and site license management, for new system releases for NEC-managed systems. + Operate and maintain a data center environment for backend computing resources necessary to operate a 911/E911 Emergency Support Center for NEC-managed servers. + PowerShell scripting for build, test, and deploying solutions as required. + Apply system analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, or system function specifications for servers and computers. + Evaluate enterprise systems hardware and software deficiencies and provide recommendations to correct deficiencies. + Organize and support projects that improve systems and server performance. + Use a highly developed knowledge of systems analysis, computer systems, programming languages, hardware capabilities, and system operation to ensure network servers and SAN data systems are properly configured, installed, operated, and maintained. + Manage ticket queue and ensure that unresolved issues are escalated in a timely fashion. + Provide daily briefs of any significant issues and immediately report all outages or hazardous conditions. + Develop strong communications and working relationships with other support teams (including Desktop and Networks). + Develop Standard Operating Procedures and flows for common systems\server tasks + Create and maintain detailed and accurate Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) + Other duties as assigned.  REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred (not required) and at least 3 years of relevant experience. + Must possess a valid U.S. passport. + Required 8570 baseline and CE certifications for IAT-II + Windows 10 (or higher) Server version certificate. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + Experience with VMWare and SCCM preferred. + Ability to relocate and reside at the USAG-KA in the RMI. You must meet current vaccination requirements for infectious diseases to enter the RMI. Must also be willing to meet any future vaccination requirements if mandated by the RMI.   + Pre-employment health screening is required due to the island's remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities.  + Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.  + Ability to travel by plane or small sea-going vessel between working locations.  + May be required to work overtime.  + Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: + Must be a U.S. Citizen + TOP SECRET security clearance to access classified information.
