System Administrator II

The NeoSystems private cloud infrastructure team is looking to hire a System Administrator to provide VMware Administration and Windows Active Directory services. Our private cloud is rapidly approaching 1000 VM’s supporting more than 600 companies, mostly Government Contractors. We are looking for an Administrator to design, configure, maintain and support a pool of Windows servers that support a multi-tenant, high-compliance virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining the virtual infrastructure, operating systems, and VMs on servers which support business processing requirements. The position may also assist with installations and configurations as needed.

Responsibilities
*Ability to install, maintain and support Horizon DaaS in a high availability solution deployed to achieve low RPO and RTO’s.
• Strong background in TCP/IP, DNS and other network services
• Provide Microsoft Windows Server operating system support including monitoring server performance and availability within compliance to Service Level Agreements.
• Address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and installing applications.
• Promote server and application patch management processes.
• Monitor server load and implement load balancing where appropriate.
• Administrator will be tasked with maintaining production schedules and providing maintenance of OS during maintenance hours and coordinating those with specific customers.

Required
• 2-4 yrs. experience in VMware Horizon View (Connection Server) Administration
• 5+yrs of Windows Server OS Support. Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
* Knowledge of Windows infrastructure technologies (AD, DNS, MS Clustering)
• Proficiency in VMWare and Windows Active Directory
• Ability to adapt and work independently or with a team in a highly dynamic environment.
• Knowledge and support of Group Policy.
• Mentoring and team-leadership skills
• Sets high standard for self and others

Preferred
• Experience with ESXi and MS SQL Server.
• Microsoft Azure MEDS
• Strong trouble-shooting skills
• Understanding of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL and/or DevOps.
• Functional knowledge of backup software/strategies.
* Administrator will support all facets of email service including but not necessarily limited to direct delivery of email services, smart host delivery of email, e-mail security systems, data loss prevention (DLP), data classification markings, smartphone connectivity, archiving, and eDiscovery services on a secured-compliant platform.

Education/Certification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT degree preferred but not required or work related experience.
• MCSE certified solutions expert certification desirable
