Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Storage Administrator II is responsible for all aspects of storage operations, including systems analysis and maintenance, security, support, capacity planning, and systems configuration.  The Storage Administrator II is expected to execute tasks based on guidance that adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Enterprise Storage Services

Manage multiple storage Block, File and Object Storage Services infrastructure elements

Manage multiple storage Data Protection Services infrastructure elements

Manage multiple storage Connectivity Services infrastructure elements

Maintain allocation and capacity reporting information

Create trouble tickets, change management and work packages using Remedy, ServiceNow and JIRA

Conduct large scale data migrations / platform migrations

Perform code upgrades, patches and fixes as required

Utilize and react to alerts and issues as identified by the Storage Systems monitoring infrastructure

Will be required to work normal daytime working hours as well as periodic after-hours work and on-call duties

Maintain production storage and data protection environments to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility, and recoverability of data

Troubleshoot and tune for system and performance problems; identify and resolve information flow, content issues, and assist with transformation of business requirements into technical requirements

Work independently with minimal supervision.  Candidate should also be able to work well with others in a team environment

Have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with users of other Enterprise Storage Services (ESS) team members, customers and management

Support enterprise data protection and disaster recovery testing and procedures

Perform problem determination (root cause analysis), and document the source of problems and their resolution

Assist staff members in trouble resolution pertinent to the storage infrastructure

Requirements

Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in IT Hands-On Enterprise Storage. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field

Experience with Dell Storage and Data Protection

Experience with Pure Storage

Experience with Cisco MDS

Preferred

Experience working in a large 24/7 storage environment preferred

Experience with and good understanding of the following protocols: NFS, CIFS, Fiber Channel, iSCSI

Automation/scripting experience (i.e. Ansible, Python, Bash)

Windows, Linux and Unix system administration experience preferred

Experience supporting large enterprise media and/or telecommunications environments preferred
