Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a System Admin – Network Tools professional to support a major national laboratory.

Responsibilities Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them. Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish, and manage user accounts, upgrade, and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks. Familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools, such as InMon products, AKIPS, Radiator AAA tools, application performance management products, and network performance management products. Qualifications

AA in IT Related field plus 4 years of IT experience

In lieu of degree 7 years of job-related experience is required.

U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance

Experience in Windows/Linux system administration

Complete knowledge of networking principles for conjuring and maintaining the organization of the network

Proper understanding all types of hardware including routers, switches, wires, and other essential equipment

Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Linux, MS OS

Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6.

Experience performing any network performance issues such as system crash.

Self-starter

Strong advance problem solving skills

Solaris 11 Unix CertificationCompTIA Security +CompTIA Network +Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)CCNA Certification
