Job DescriptionUtilizing Infrastructure as Code best practices, develop, maintain, and enhance systems using scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Ansible, Python or CPerform system builds and hardware upgrades for UNIX serversEnable and maintain system backups utilizing backup software and web-based monitoring toolsProvides production support for servers and data storage including after-hours on-call supportDiagnose and isolate operating system, server-side networking, and application-related problems; create workarounds or conduct system and disk recovery as necessaryPerform hardware maintenance, repairs, and replacementsProvide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various UNIX related technologiesCreate documentation and training material; provide training to others

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionExcellent written and oral communication skills2+ years of Red Hat experienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience with automation frameworks & programming/scripting experience (bash, Ansible)Knowledge of backup strategies and productsKnowledge of diagnostic toolsAn aptitude for methodical and comprehensive troubleshooting

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with SolarisExperience with automation frameworks & extensive programming/scripting experience (Python, C)Experience with Cohesity or CommVault backup solutionsExperience with Ansible and Ansible AWXExpertise configuring and supporting Veritas Storage Foundation, and ZFSExperience with cluster management software (VCS)Practiced in designing and implementing business continuity/disaster recovery and high availability plansMicrosoft Cloud Solutions

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $80,000 to $150,000

May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
