About the Role

The System Analyst is a key project technical focal point to product stakeholders both internal and external to HARMAN. This position requires a broad background in software design, software models, requirement analysis process and methodologies. This position leads system requirements development for assigned projects/products/domains from a technical expertise base without having direct reports. Able to evaluate tradeoffs, resolve issues, and achieve technical solutions that meet stakeholder needs. Must be able to communicate effectively and document the resulting product requirements. Serves as the technical interface for assigned projects/products/domains.

Your Team

This position does not typically have direct reports. In some cases, you may lead a small team in technical project execution.


What You Will Do

Develop system functional/performance specifications based on customer and other stakeholders’ specifications to clearly and concisely capture what is required of the product.

Drive system requirements development and traceability.

Document and maintain product requirement exceptions.

Maintain an organized repository of all stakeholder requirements specifications, including a master document list.

Responsible for executing the requirements management and development process for assigned projects/products.

Capture issues that arise from requirements development and downstream activities, triages issues based on severity and urgency, and drives resolution of open issues.

Accountable for requirements metrics targets.

Lead change request impact analysis and provide results to appropriate stakeholders.

Ensure change requests are implemented in the requirements specifications (once approved).

Ensure reporting of missing analysis information, completeness of traceability/linking and RE specific statistics regularly to stakeholders.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent related field.

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Experience working in a requirements management tool, preferably DOORS and/or DNG.

3+ years of experience managing software models in Enterprise Architect.

5+ years of experience in systems & requirements engineering.

Knowledge of fundamental engineering and requirements management principles.

Ability to adapt to changing demands and conditions.

What is Nice to Have

Masters or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent related field.

Experience with industry-standard tools and software for system and requirements engineering, such as DOORS, DNG, EA, MagicDraw, ArchiMate, SysML, or UML.

Ability to provide detailed reviews on complex/technical specifications.

Practical experience in related areas such as system design, hardware/software design, software development, and real-time embedded applications.

Broad technical background with general knowledge of audio domain.

Deep knowledge in one or more relevant product domain areas.

Project management experience.

What Makes You Eligible

Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic and international travel.

Be willing to go to the Budapest office location as required (this could be on 24-hour notice).
