In the role of System Architect, Bimodal Solutions, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer at GN Hearing, a part of GN. You will be the main point of contact between GN and Cochlear, collaborating closely to design bimodal solutions for users with cochlear implants and our hearing aids. You will be expected to work independently while also facilitating collaboration across teams, with a flexible working style that aligns with the needs of the project and stakeholders.
The team you will be part of
Join our innovative team, working with advanced technology to deliver bimodal solutions for how the most advanced digital hearing aids interact with cochlear implants. We are a team of 8 experienced System Architects who collaborate across all our development teams in R&D. This development-oriented environment encourages both individual initiative and team-oriented performance.
This function is located within the Research and Technology team in Global R&D at Ballerup, Denmark. You will become part of a diverse team of experts, counting seven different nationalities with team members in DK, Chicago, US, and Eindhoven, NL. You will step into an environment where effort and results are both valued and expected. You will report to Director, Helga Björk Magnúsdóttir, and your daily work will involve collaboration with your colleagues and stakeholders, where you will have the opportunity to build internal and external networks.
Your contribution is highly appreciated, and you will:
Design, communicate, and maintain the software architecture for our bimodal solutions
Align technical solutions between GN Hearing and Cochlear, facilitating the collaboration between the two organizations
Manage new concepts from idea to deployment through modeling, prototyping, and practical software engineering
Assess the impact of changes to the platforms affecting the Bimodal system and provide an overview of potential solutions
Provide technical assistance and knowledge about bimodal solutions to developers and cross-functional teams
Contribute bimodal requirements in collaboration with platform owners
Facilitate problem-solving across disciplines and departments, maintaining a solution-oriented mindset
To thrive in this role, we imagine that you:
Have a degree within computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Bring practical experience in developing embedded software solutions for both hardware and software, with a solid understanding of software architecture
Have experience working with regulatory requirements within medical devices
Possess good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
Are proficient in both spoken and written English
Have a collaborative nature and thrive in a global, multicultural environment
