Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient System Calibration Specialist to join our mobile mapping team. This role is critical for ensuring that our mobile mapping systems deliver accurate and reliable data. The successful candidate will be responsible for calibrating, testing, and maintaining mobile mapping systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform calibrations on mobile mapping systems to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
Automate the current manual calibration process
Design and implement machine learning algorithms to detect patterns and anomalies
Develop and implement calibration protocols and procedures.
Analyze calibration data and make necessary adjustments to enhance system performance.
Document calibration processes, results, and any adjustments made.
Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve any system issues.
Provide training and support to end-users on system calibration and maintenance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mobile mapping technology and calibration techniques.
Skills and Experiences:
Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) design and implementation is a must
Experience with Trimble mobile mapping systems would be beneficial but not essential.
Knowledge of GIS and geospatial data collection techniques would be an advantage
Proven experience in system calibration, preferably in the field of mobile mapping or geospatial technologies.
Experience in point cloud registration and QA processes
Strong technical skills with proficiency in using calibration tools and software.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
