**Description:** **What You Will Be Doing:**
As a F35 System Design Business Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading members of System Design Cost Account Management team\. The successful candidate will assume a technical leadership role on the F\-35 System Design team and will also be responsible for the management and professional development of their team\. They must be able to effectively organize a team in an Agile environment, foster team communications, proactively monitor performance, and adapt improvements to increase overall team effectiveness\. They will be responsible for facilitating professional development of their team by providing coaching and mentoring, employee feedback and recognition, and support of each employee’s career development opportunities\. They will communicate with the team to ensure flow\-down of business visions and organizational initiatives\. They will partner with technical and program leadership to drive overall execution to meet established commitments\. They will monitor project performance and identify and elevate concerns and issues where appropriate to functional and program management\. The selected candidate must have the ability to lead discussions and determine resolutions to technical problems\.

**Who You Are:**
F35 System Design is within the Systems Engineering Functional Organization, under the SEIT Vice President\. Our team has around 90 employees that support the F35 Design from Tier 0 \(SRD\) to the Tier 5 Mission Systems Requirements\.

**Basic Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM field
Experience leading a project or team
Earned Value Management Experience
**Desired Skills:**
Previous Systems/Software Design experience
Solid project management skills, including problem solving, root cause, corrective action, process improvement, and closure
CAM 101 Training
Demonstrated full spectrum leadership competencies including communicating with positive impact, developing enduring relationships, making effective decisions, delivering value, building organizational talent, creating team\-oriented environment, and being accountable
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
