As part of this we are looking for a people with a strong background in Systems Design & Intergration.

Our Systems Design Integration engineers, are responsible for and having knowledge in: problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems; performing technical analysis; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location.  It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you’ll be doing:

​Apply understanding of NSRP and wider Nuclear product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces.Design of systems using Systems Engineering principals including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub-system level.Applying knowledge of the importance of determining, managing & flowing system level requirements.Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.Verifying that the system meets the requirements and ownership of standardisation reports. Good inter-personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence all levels including the customer.​Work with and co-ordinate extended (i.e. not necessarily co-located) multi-disciplinary teams.

Bachelor's degree or master’s in engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experienceStrong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and have an understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering and product definition.An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parametersKnowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworksGood communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region. In the UK - attained/ working towards Chartered status is preferred (and equivalent regional variations)

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
