Job Summary: The System Director, Financial Operations and Reporting oversees the financial and administrative operations of the organization including budget management, financial reporting, monitoring cash flow, developing and maintaining best practices and internal controls for company finances and operations. This role manages financial reporting and success of the system through coordinating, leading, supervising, planning, and directing all aspects of financial operations and reporting.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of related experience. Prior Workday or Epic experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Superior ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage the details while balancing the outcomes. Ability to have command of financial operations and understand the financial statement impact of operational decisions. Ability to think swiftly and analyze implications of changes in processes and operations within the health system. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Proven ability to strategize, think operationally, organize and implement new ideas and policy development. Advanced Excel skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides leadership, direction, and functional expertise to all aspects of hospital financial operations including month and year end financial reports and budgeting. Directs the operational budget preparation and review process for the health system. Oversees the effective implementation, integration, and execution of the reporting team's initiatives. Directs the reporting initiatives associated with financial projections/proformas and oversees the creation of supporting documentation and submissions to senior leadership. Oversees and directs timely preparation and submission of financial results, analytical data, and other relevant information to senior leadership as requested. Directs hospital finance directors/managers as assigned in performance of their work and serves as a partner and financial resource to hospital presidents.

Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor.

Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
