System Director, Financial Planning

Directs and organizes the financial planning and multi-business unit analysis activities for Summa Health (Summa); facilitates and assists new business pro forma development; coordinates the planning, development and presentation of the annual consolidated and consolidating budgets; prepares and periodically updates the long-range financial forecast; maintains the cost accounting data to support financial analysis; maintains and provides statistical data; provides financial data and participates, as needed, in developing and evaluating financial analysis of business unit projects. Recommends standardization of statistical and financials data to enhance decision support and business intelligence.

Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
b. Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Health Administration or Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Experience and Training Required:
a. Seven to ten years of related accounting/finance experience to include five (5) years of progressive supervisory/team leadership experience.

a. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
b. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality regarding financial matters.
c. Knowledge of computerized data systems and analytical skills required to perform statistical and data processing reviews.
d. Works cooperatively and effectively with management in a financial advisory capacity.
e. Accountable for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.

Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
