Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.

If you have a proven technical background and are dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes, we want to hear from you!What you'll do: Designing and conceptualizing system architectureAnalyzing requirements and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs)Collaborating with global teams, including Project Managers and DevelopersDeploying applications on Windows and Linux serversManaging database deploymentsDebugging software and resolving technical issuesWhat you'll bring: Strong experience with Windows and Linux serversProficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts)Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache)Knowledge of software update management and patchingFamiliarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)Scripting skills in PowerShell and BashUnderstanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#)Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS)Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer)Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus)Experience in GIS (a plus)
Additional QualificationFluent in French; strong English communication skillsDegree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environmentsFamiliarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems (a plus)Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsSelf-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindsetAbility to work well under pressure and support business-critical systemsStrong customer-facing skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures#LI-HG1
