Job Description Nexagen Networks is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to support the acquisition, installation, and life-cycle management of advanced strategic satellite network control and planning systems for the Digital Satellite Communication Systems (DSCS) and Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) systems. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in the development and integration of wideband subsystems, focusing on networking, testing, and integration. This position involves working closely with a team of laboratory system experts and technicians to integrate SATCOM subsystem capabilities into a comprehensive system of systems environment. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for achieving critical milestones, including developing and maintaining design interfaces, managing product support, and creating testing and sustaining engineering documentation. Proficiency in network and system troubleshooting, developing testing documentation, executing test procedures, and documenting results is essential. The candidate will also participate in all phases of engineering design reviews, briefing key leadership as necessary. Position Responsibilities Apply engineering, scientific, and analytical disciplines to ensure SATCOM platforms, systems/subsystems, and warfighting capabilities are properly tested and meet joint interoperability requirements throughout their life cycle. Conduct system testing activities, including testing new or modernized software applications, systems integration tests, system regression tests, operational and developmental tests, evaluation, and system acceptance testing. Develop and maintain design interfaces and product support management documentation. Support the integration of SATCOM subsystem capabilities into a system of systems environment. Participate in engineering design reviews and brief key leadership on progress and milestones. Qualifications 10-yrs experience in systems engineering, preferably within a DoD environment. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Must be a US Citizen Proficiency in network and system troubleshooting, testing documentation development, test procedure execution, and results documentation.
