System Engineer

We are seeking a Systems Engineer focusing on supporting the NSWC Crane Expeditionary EW (Electronic Warfare) team, particularly within the c-UAS (counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) programs. This role requires a mix of systems engineering, electronic warfare, and technical design expertise, with a focus on supporting mission systems development and strategy for counter-UAS programs. The systems engineer will be expected to be able to meet all requirements listed below.  

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Architecture Support:

Help develop system and subsystem specifications, architectures, program briefings, and white papers. Provide technical assistance for the design and development of EW RF (Electronic Warfare Radio Frequency) mission systems. Support both short and long-term strategic goals for system and software maintenance and management.

Technical Design:

Support the design of circuit cards, chassis, enclosures, and electronic subsystems in alignment with SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) open standards. Provide expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), utilizing SysML/UML modeling languages.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly, both orally and in writing. Assist in the preparation of various technical documents (briefings, reports, etc.) and help facilitate collaboration among team members. Desired Experience: 3 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering.  Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in system architecture. Experience with MBSE and SysML/UML for system modeling. Electronic Warfare Systems: Knowledge and experience with the design, verification, and qualification of RF systems in the context of Electronic Warfare. Proficiency with Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Magic Draw, DOORS (or other traceability tools), and Microsoft Office. Circuit Design & Integration: Experience in designing electronic systems like circuit boards and subsystems following SOSA standards. Strong technical capabilities, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle advanced technical tasks independently. Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $66,913.60 to $114,354.72 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
