Salary Range: $86,117 - $129,175 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As System Engineer, you’ll design and build secure IT systems, improving system reliability and resilience to enhance performance, and configuring an environment that supports fast and easy development and deployment of new software capabilities with an emphasis on automation to reduce manual effort, prevent operations incidents, and improve efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Plan, evaluate, monitor, and identify areas for enterprise-wide system improvements. Develop and implement testing and evaluation plans for IT systems and controls to gauge conformity with industry standards of efficiency, accuracy, and security Manage capacity planning, BC/DR/HA, and performance analysis, while fine-tuning and monitoring enterprise systems to ensure reliability and availability Maintain, optimize, and document the infrastructure environment, evaluate new technologies, recommend solutions to business problems, and stay informed on industry trends and developments Define service level objectives (SLOs) for system operations, track performance, and ensure compliance. Use automation to reduce the probability and/or impact of problem recurrence and identify, evaluate, and recommend tools and diagnostic techniques to improve system observability Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure reliability and resilience Report on system performance, utilization, and compliance Translate systems requirements into functional technical specifications and establish action steps to improve performance, scalability, and stability of systems

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field 5+ years of Systems Engineering work experience Experience with incident and response management, monitoring and observability tools Proficient diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and proactive in resolving problems Strong automation scripting skills

Highly adaptable to change and interested in learning new skills and technologies Excellent customer service, time management, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail and commitment to quality

ROLE SPECIFICS

Travel – Occasional overnight travel for internal trainings and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train. Schedule – ability to work flexible hours; may include evening & weekend hours as needed.
