System Engineer- PEO Soldier

Overview:\n\n\n

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an experienced System Engineer to support our organization in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area.\n\n\n

Responsibilities:\n\nServes as System Engineer on assigned PEO Soldier programs, with duties as identified below.\nManages systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products.\nApplies system engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs\/requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system\/item configuration.\nFormulates and issues systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestones.\nRequires a thorough knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied to the Department of Army\/DOD Acquisition process throughout all life cycle phases; knowledge of DOD policies on Systems Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and IPT Management; and ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with other related programs and organizations.\nProvides expert and authoritative advice affecting critical programs and technologies.\nServes as subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned program.\nPerforms top level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.\nTranslates military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications.\nDevelops and maintains technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes.\nParticipates in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the project engineer and\/or technical expert on assigned programs.\nEvaluates design efforts to ensure integration of all the engineering disciplines and adequacy of the analyses performed, bringing in additional technical expertise as needed.\nReviews test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, for both Government and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports.\nReviews and evaluates system performance against specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses risk of meeting user and specification requirements.\nInitiates engineering change proposals and waivers\/deviations as required and conduct physical and functional configuration audits.\nReviews program management documents to ensure accuracy and adequacy of technical content.\n\n\n\n

Qualifications\/Requirements:\n\n\n\nLevel II- BS degree and 5 years of experience.\nLevel III- BS degree and 10 years of experience.\nLevel IV- MS or MA degree and 15 years of experience.\nMinimum of a Secret Clearance required.\n\n
