KBR is seeking a System Engineering Integrator (supporting Moon-to-Mars Program at NASA/JSC in Houston)

Job Summary
 

The purpose of this position is to provide systems engineering integration for the Artemis Moon-to-Mars (M2M) Program for lunar exploration.  Tasking is varied and can include system engineering integration, mission integration, and milestone review integration. Work is performed both at the M2M level, as well as in support of lower-level programs. Tasks include integrating with people and tools to develop and/or maintain system engineering and integration products. Products can include requirements, plans, processes, reports and other similar products. The person will work at Johnson Space Center with a large team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) personnel across multiple NASA centers in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform program-to-program system engineering integration by coordinating inputs, resolving issues, developing and establishing agreements, developing and/or providing inputs to requirements, and providing day-to-day support to integration team activitiesDevelop and/or assist in development of mission integration products between Moon-to-Mars programs that can include mission requirements, mission plans, ground rules and review milestone products for lunar destination and landing missionsProvide inputs to system engineering integration plans, team discussions and planning products to support future exploration plans within M2M Program.Participate in review of change requests to products, with specific emphasis on applicability and consistency with baselined products.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A BS degree in engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum of 5 years experience

Experience in system integration between different teams and organizations

Experience in developing NASA or NASA-related system engineering documentation

DESIRED:

System engineering integration experience

Experience with requirements development

Experience with NASA-related mission operations and/or mission integration

SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:

Self-motivated and proactive in integrating/communicating with others without a lot of hands-on direction

Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers

Ability to identify integration concerns and gaps in information and communicate concerns to leadership in a diplomatic manner

Ability to perform cross-program integration with multiple people for various purposes in parallel

Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
