System Integration Electrical Engineer
**Summary:** As an Integration Electrical Engineer at Reality Labs, you will help to create the next generation of SmartGlasses platforms. You would be expected to collaborate with internal design teams and external production partners. We are seeking experienced engineers that have demonstrated success navigating through the development and execution of end-to-end manufacturing processes in support of complex miniaturized systems such as opto-mechanical products, display, battery-operated, high speed interfaces, etc. Your proficiency in deciphering how design choices impact fabrication, assembly, and electrical performance is crucial for this role. You should be adept at recognizing the nuanced interplay between design decisions and their implications for manufacturability, yield, and overall product quality. The capacity to navigate trade-offs becomes essential, allowing them to push the envelope on design rules strategically, especially when pursuing miniaturization goals. This includes balancing the constraints imposed by design guidelines with innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes without compromising the integrity and reliability of the final product. **Required Skills:** System Integration Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Partner with internal hardware design teams from the earliest of conceptual stages to the development of high fidelity prototypes, with a line-of-sight to mass production. 2. Influence product design decisions and work closely with our operations team in scaling our manufacturing builds with a focus on miniaturization, quality and reliability. 3. Lead electrical architecture definition or provide technical leadership to a larger development team with clear understanding of the system level spec and how it translates down to the module and component level. 4. Build and improve internal tools, specifically to maximize efficiency of engineering roles across the organization 5. Collaborate in a team environment and work across engineering disciplines to develop systems and manage trade offs across electronics, mechanics, optics, sensors, haptics, firmware and software 6. Travel both domestically and internationally 7. Communicate to all levels of an organization – from management and higher-level strategy planning to the technicians and leads on a manufacturing floor **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 8. 8+ years of industry experience in electrical design 9. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience 10. Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals 11. Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium or equivalent 12. Experience with use of oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, or function generators 13. Experience working with multiple of these technologies: digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC and PMIC, or Battery Management System 14. Experience leading technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors against project plans **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 15. 12+ years of industry experience in electrical design 16. MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 17. Experience with high speed signaling over MIPI C-PHY/D-PHY, PCIe, USB SS and/or UFS 18. Experience with IMUs/sensor and physical sensor systems with an understanding of calibration methods 19. Experience with vision systems and audio systems 20. Experience with electromechanical design 21. Experience programming in languages like Python or C/C++ 22. Experience with circuit design in high speed circuits, Verilog/FPGAs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, firmware, and programmable logic based development 23. Experience designing for HDI flexible and rigid substrates for high-volume cost-optimized applications 24. Experience developing manufacturing tests for high-volume consumer products 25. Experience defining system architecture based on product specification 26. Consumer Electronics experience and/or working within a mass production environment **Public Compensation:** $170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits **Industry:** Internet **Equal Opportunity:** Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
