At Ford Motor Company, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress. We also believe in providing you with the freedom to define and realize your dreams! With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career potential as you help us define tomorrow’s transportation.

Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up breakthrough electric vehicles. By joining the best software, engineering, design and UX talent, you will be a part of creating innovative technologies and concepts that can be applied across the Ford enterprise. Being on the Ford Model E team means building the future as Ford’s center of innovation and growth through electric and connected vehicles and services.

The Chassis Controls Technician will play a key role in supporting the development, calibration, and testing of chassis control systems, with a focus on vehicle dynamics. You will work closely with engineers to ensure optimal vehicle handling, ride quality, and safety, and you’ll be responsible for prototype vehicle repairs, fleet management, and instrumentation. Additionally, you’ll support our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) bench setup and operations.

Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. Hands-on experience with vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, and instrumentation for data collection and analysis. Experience with HIL systems and vehicle simulation environments is highly desirable. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. Proficiency with data acquisition tools and diagnostic software (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, MATLAB). Familiarity with vehicle dynamics concepts and testing methods, such as ride and handling evaluations. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel for test trips and vehicle development as required.

What you’ll receive in return:
As part of the Ford family, you’ll enjoy excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous PTO, retirement, savings and stock investment plans, incentive compensation and much more. You’ll also experience exciting opportunities for professional and personal growth and recognition.
