Role Overview:

As a Senior System Lead in Lenovo's ISG CSP team, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the system-level design, integration, and validation of cutting-edge server products tailored for hyperscale cloud service providers. This high-impact role requires strong technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a proven ability to manage complex projects while collaborating with global cross-functional teams. You will serve as a key technical authority, ensuring products meet customer requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

System-Level Leadership:

Lead the system-level design and integration of server products (compute, storage, HPC, GPU, etc.), ensuring technical alignment with customer and business goals.Provide guidance and mentorship to system engineers and junior team members to ensure technical excellence.

Technical Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute technical strategies for server system designs, considering performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Oversee end-to-end system engineering, including hardware, firmware, and software integration and validation.

Customer Engagement:

Act as the primary technical interface for CSP customers, addressing their requirements and resolving technical challenges.Collaborate closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment with product specifications.

Project and Risk Management:

Lead technical deliverables, schedules, and risk assessments for complex projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.Collaborate with project managers to resolve escalated technical and resource challenges.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for innovation in server architecture, performance optimization, and system reliability.Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure designs meet industry and customer-specific compliance and regulatory standards, including environmental and safety requirements.Support certification processes for new systems.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve project milestones.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in server system engineering, system architecture, or a related field.Expertise in server architecture, including CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and networking subsystems.Proven experience working with hyperscale cloud service providers (e.g., Microsoft, Amazon, Google).Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale, complex technical projects.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Fluent English communication skills

Preferred:

Hands-on experience with Intel, AMD, or ARM platforms, and familiarity with GPU/AI accelerators.Knowledge of liquid cooling solutions and thermal management.Experience in compliance and certification processes (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, RoHS).Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).Background in collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
