Your Role: As System Network Consultant, you will be a key member of the global network team, providing support and services mainly during business hours in Germany. You will manage support and escalation activities through support tickets, automated monitoring, and user reports. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, and developing Local Area, Wireless, Production, Laboratory, and Data Center Networks across the organization. You may need to work outside of regular hours as required. Your focus will be on delivering a positive and professional user experience for both internal and external users. You will also promote teamwork across departments and cultures to achieve results. Reporting to the Head of Networks Germany, your role includes:

Supporting network operations and implementing security measures.Communicating and collaborating effectively within the network team and with other departments.Planning and enforcing network and security standards.Designing and developing various network types across the organization.Maintaining a positive user experience in all interactions.

Who You Are:

10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and administering Routers, Switches, firewalls, WiFi controllers, and Access Points.Bachelor’s degree or IT/Network certifications (CCNP, CCIE preferred).Proficient in networking protocols and technologies (e.g., HTTP, DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, VoIP).Skilled in designing scalable, reliable, and secure networks.Experienced in Layer 2 and Layer 3 network design, including routing and switching.Knowledgeable in network performance optimization and traffic engineering.Familiar with core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and advanced switching concepts (VLANs, MPLS).Capable of troubleshooting routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure (incl. tools as Wireshark, NetFlow).Understanding of network security policies, firewall configurations, and VPN technologies.Ability to lead network projects and communicate technical solutions effectively.Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.Oral German language skills mandatory.
