System Repair Technician

We are currently looking for a System Repair Technician for our in our manufacturing facility in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. Our Maintenance Technicians are part of a highly skilled team that is critical to ensuring large industrial equipment and systems are fully operational for continuous production and to consistently meet production goals. System Repair Technicians perform all maintenance functions (mechanical or electrical/electronic) necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment including mobile equipment as required. In order to become successful, youll have to quickly learn ATI, our manufacturing equipment/systems, and our maintenance program. A successful Systems Repair Technician is a problem-solver and strong with troubleshooting, determining corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality. Workplace safety is a core value and Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in our safe operation and processes. Additional Responsibilities: + Diagnoses, tests, maintains and repairs electrical and electronic equipment, such as: Diagnoses, tests, maintain and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and components. + Integrating, indicating or recording electrical or electronic instruments. + Variable speed AC and DC motor Drives + Programmable Logic Controllers + Communications + Radio control + Personal computers + Computer peripherals and similar systems + Diagnoses, tests, maintains and repairs combustion systems + Serves as a team member/leader to inspect and troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions. + Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction. + Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects, using oscilloscopes, PC and computers, signal generators, ammeters, and voltmeters. + Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts, using hand-tools and soldering iron. + Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment according to specifications. + Calibrates testing instruments. + Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests. + Uses computer to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade process control equipment and PLCs. + Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording, telemetering, and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition, using precision instruments and hand-tools. + May instruct Maintenance repair crews + May enter information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another or to draw, modify or to store schematics, applying knowledge of software package use. + May install equipment in industrial establishments. + May operate equipment, such as communication equipment. Operates Production Equipment for diagnostic and testing purposes. As a System Repair Technician, you will be required to work in a variety of plant areas/departments, environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.), and perform work at various heights and within some confined spaces. As part of our Union Maintenance Team, you must be willing to work all shifts in our 24/7 operation. Based on the need, overtime may be available including other shifts and weekends. As part of pre-employment, a two part maintenance skills assessment will be required.
