Description:Manager of the System Safety team supporting aerospace programs in Fort Worth, Texas, reporting directly to the Aviation Safety Senior Manager. This position is responsible for all aspects of program staffing (re-assignments and placements, recruitment and selection of new employees and terminations) and personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance and compensation, and promotions). The chosen candidate will manage technical execution of the system safety discipline across multiple programs as an extension of the chief engineers office. Responsible for assigning system safety duties to staff and perform system safety duties as assigned. The candidate will develop talent in this discipline and provide training for employees as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking and business acumen skills, be highly collaborative, exhibit exceptional organizational skills, demonstrate proactive thinking, operate autonomously as appropriate, and produce superior work products under short deadlines. High technical integrity under pressure is a key characteristic of the successful candidate.
Up to 10% travel is required.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM discipline.
Experience leading a team.
Experience with military or government programs.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership (Shape
the Future, Build Effective Relationships,
Energize the Team, Deliver Results, Model
Personal Excellence, Integrity, and
Accountability).
Previous experience as a system safety engineer or software safety engineer.
Estimating and/or earned value management (EVMS and/or CAM) training and experience.

standards, such as MIL-STD-882, ARP4754, DO-178/DO-254, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
