Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a Systems Safety Manager to lead the System Safety team supporting aerospace programs. In this critical leadership role, you will report directly to the Aviation Safety Senior Manager and work closely with program teams to ensure technical excellence and effective execution of the System Safety discipline. What You Will Be Doing:

As a Systems Safety Manager, you will:

· Oversee all aspects of program staffing, including reassignments, placements, recruitment, onboarding of new employees, and terminations.

· Manage personnel development, including training, mentoring, career growth, performance evaluations, compensation decisions, and promotions.

· Lead the technical execution of the System Safety discipline across multiple programs, serving as an extension of the Chief Engineer’s Office.

· Assign system safety tasks to staff and provide direct support for system safety activities as required.

· Develop and implement training programs to build expertise within the System Safety team.

· Drive collaboration and communication across programs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality safety solutions.

· Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on innovation, technical excellence, and accountability.

Up to 10% travel is required. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related STEM discipline

Experience leading a team.

Experience with military or government programs.

Experience with system safety
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership (Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team, Deliver Results, Model Personal Excellence, Integrity, and Accountability).

Previous experience as a system safety engineer or software safety engineer

Estimating and/or earned value management (EVMS and/or CAM) training and experience.

Experience with DoD and industry safety standards, such as MIL-STD-882, ARP4754, DO-178/DO-254, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
