System Safety Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a System Safety Supervisor within our System Safety & RAM Engineering Group. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Support safety analysis of our Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Programs in development support the US Army and US Air Force, along with many other US and Foreign customers.In this role, the successful candidate will lead a team of System Safety engineers to support both customer risk acceptance, and airworthiness requirements for multiple platform-specific contracts.Develop, manage, and execute System Safety Programs in accordance with military and/or commercial standards, as required.Interact with internal and external representatives at various levels concerning resolution of technical and scheduling issues. Act as primary contact for System Safety engineering activities for assigned contracts.Devises new approaches to resolve unusual or complex engineering problems.Communicate and clearly present system safety findings, issues, and solutions to various levels of internal and external technical and management stakeholdersTroubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.Participate in the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements, basis of estimates, and specificationsEnsure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required professional and technical talent.Provide system safety support for the design assurance processes, and other related milestones such as PDRs and CDRs.Familiarity with the Earned Value process and requirements; to ensure the team is executing withing budget and meeting requirementsMaintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
