FTI is in search of a System Security Coordinator for an exciting opportunity to support a major US Navy Program. This individual will provide technical expertise in System Security-related efforts and will actively contribute to the performance of the day-to-day team responsibilities. They will work with the US Navy Program Protection lead on priorities, fostering strong relationships, meeting business goals, etc. This individual will also help build teamwork, communicate effectively (verbal & written), develop/enforce policies, and work with stakeholders (internal and external). This position provides the opportunity to develop and hone communication, customer relationships, and leadership skills while working with other System Security professionals. This position works with providers of subsystems and supporting systems.
The successful candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with the desire to make a difference. Knowledge and experience working with the DoD and/or Navy policies and processes is required.
Responsibilities Serve as System Security technical advisor, consultant, and point of contact to the government Program Protection Lead. Supports training and oversight for System Security processes and activities. Assist in the Development, review, compliance with, and manage the System Security Plan, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Anti-Tamper Plan, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Plan, Counter-Intelligence Plan, and other applicable documents. Participate in, document, and follow up on System Security Surveys Evaluate all program documents, resolve all System Security issues, and coordinate with system assurance manager to analyze all related requirements. Review and provide comments on artifacts and deliverables from the prime contractor and subcontractors. Review existing design for compliance with System Security requirements. Prepare required presentations for System Security meetings. Develop and participate in test activities, ensure compliance to all requirements, and evaluate system engineering documents.• Coordinate with management staff to analyze and identify all risks and prepare reports Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering in any of the recognized disciplines plus a minimum of two years’ experience with US Navy/Aegis Combat SystemKnowledge of the AEGIS Combat and Weapon System Previous experience in the role of responsible engineer is desirable Proficient with Microsoft Professional Tool Suite The ability to recognize, react and, understand your role in a chain of command structure to ensure swift and thorough communications. Familiarity with digital applications Detailed understanding of the Aegis Combat System data analysis structure to assist in innovating and promoting new methods to assess data more efficiently. Excellent oral, written, and project lead skills.Active Secret security clearancePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
Prior DoD/US Navy experience Experience with Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody Knowledge of or experience with any of the following: microelectronics, Cybersecurity, and/or System-Theoretic Process Analysis for Security (STPA-Sec)
