Performs a variety of activities associated with overseeing potential and active medical malpractice claims and other legal requests in the Medical Center. Serves as the primary point of contact to facilitate interactions between external stakeholders and medical center employee.

Mitigates risk through proactive assessment and interventionInvestigates significant events, claims and lawsuits presented against Medical Center staff, Graduate Medical Education trainees, and Medical Center operations for liability, causation and damages.Serves as primary Medical Center contact for potential and active medical malpractice cases.Responds to external requests.Documents and maintains records of potential, current and past medical malpractice activity.Position Compensation Range: $19.11 - $29.62 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree with 2 years supply chain or risk management experience required.

Experience: In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 5 plus years operational supply chain experience required. Previous recall management coordinator experience and ability to understand and document clinical events preferred.

Licensure: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
