The System Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for both in-house developed software applications and third-party software products. Key duties include managing software configuration, testing, and deployment. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to address software issues and implement updates or patches.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Provide technical support for complex issues, monitor system performance, and ensure the availability and reliability of both in-house and third-party software applications.
Manage the entire software application lifecycle from installation, configuration and deployment to maintenance and upgrades.
Lead collaboration with development teams to tackle issues and build strong relationships with software vendors to ensure timely support for updates and patches.
Provide mentorship to junior members of the team and lead training sessions for end-users to help them effectively use software applications.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to deliver innovative support solutions. Assist in evaluating and selecting new software to meet business needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience (3+ years) as a System Support Analyst or similar role.
Skilled in supporting, troubleshooting, and monitoring both in-house and vendor software applications.
Experience in utilizing RESTful APIs
Proficient in database management and query languages like SQL.
Knowledgeable in software testing methodologies and proficient in applying various levels of testing, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Experience in user access management, modern application security protocols, and implementing cybersecurity best practices in application support.
Excellent business analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being customer service oriented.
The role is open to junior to senior-level system support analysts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
Familiarity with low code platforms (e.g., Power Platform)
