Job Description
This position is responsible for configuration and deployment support of subscriber devices as well as basic troubleshooting associated with digital subscribers and adjacent technologies for Federal, State and local government agencies requiring highly secure, easily managed, mission critical IP networks. This position reports to the on-site Sr. Mgr. Field Service Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Consult with Sales, Program Manager, Sr. Field Service Team Mgr, and the SI team to set strategy, direction and implementationSupport Operations and Maintenance activities for ASTRO 25 subscribers and adjacent technologiesSupport and develop basic troubleshooting skills associated with Motorola Solutions subscriber devices and adjacent technologiesLeverage existing technical drawings, work plans, managed service offerings, MOPs and SOPs, etc. as required.Support the evaluation of third party vendor equipment used in our portfolioWork with third party vendors/contractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by the designAct in the capacity of a member of the on-site technical staff in best practices for design, implementation, and O&M activities.Candidate Experience:
Ability to understand and/or learn MSI MS&S processes, products, and network management solutionsAbility to understand and/or learn troubleshooting and assessment of subscriber radiosAwareness of bench troubleshooting tools (e.g., Service monitors, wattmeters, etc.)Familiarity with ASTRO 25 Conventional wide-area voice and data systems including OTAR/OTAP and Radio ManagementAwareness of or ability to learn ServiceNow trouble ticketing systemFamiliarity with subscriber accessories such as Remote Speaker Microphones, antennas, Surveillance kits, keyload adapters, holsters, etc. is a plusFamiliarity with and utilization of Motorola CPSFamiliarity with and utilization of Anritsu/Viavi/Aeroflex service monitor, wattmeter, etc. usage and operationExperience in scripting/programming is a plus.Experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Applications requiredExperience with use of command line and/or GUI interfaces to provision equipment is a plusSelf motivated, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills Works collaboratively and builds relationships with other colleagues, customers, and third party service professionals.Additional Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contractsMust be willing to obtain a DHS Public Trust ClearanceThe role entails providing on-premises support to our valued customers in Washington D.C.The base salary range for this position in Washington D.C. is $60,000 - $85,000.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
