What We Are Looking For: A system administrator that will be responsible for maintaining the entire IT and technology stack of an organization. This system administrators will ensure all technologies, software programs, systems are up-to-date. They will install, configure and update programs, and they will monitor the performance of the programs to identify any potential issues to resolve. They are also responsible for system backup, recovery, and patch installation
What You Will Do:
Primary responsibilities for the Windows-based servers, peripherals, and software.
Maintain Flanders’ storage environment, including backup and restores as necesary.
Provide administration for VMWare ESX servers along with cloud servers stored in Azure or AWS.
Develop and maintain server availability guidelines.
Work independently in areas of primary responsibility and produce written arguments for changing technologies and/or procedures for discussion with the IT Manager.
Conduct training amongst IT Employees; organize and teach classes to groups of general employees.
Travel occasionally to branch office locations and meet with local management to evaluate the efficacy of I.T. delivered solutions within their organizations.
Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment including but not limited to eye, ear, and hand protection.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers (very limited) and department co-workers (daily basis).
Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as requested.
Here’s What You Will Need:
Education: Degree in CIS, CS, or Computer Engineering or relevant experience
Experience: Four years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting solutions on the Windows platform and Cisco Platform, or related college degree.
Other:
Ability to perform advanced math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend advanced written and verbal instructions.
Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards
