ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Systems Administrator** to join our team in the **National Capital Region (NCR).** This is a hybrid position.
As a Systems Administrator, this individual will manage and maintain the essential IT infrastructure that supports government desktop services. The individual provides daily operational availability of hardware and software systems to support facility operation for a complex computer system. Their work will ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of systems critical for federal agency operations.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and network devices supporting government desktop services.
+ Monitor system and network performance, ensuring high availability and optimal functioning.
+ Implement security measures, patches, and updates to protect government IT infrastructure.
+ Provide advanced troubleshooting for system and network issues, resolving incidents efficiently.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
+ Performs scheduled testing and review of hardware and software, documenting all hardware and/or software adjustments and/or modifications as changes are affected, preparing, providing, and briefing reports and analysis of operations as required.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
+ 3+ years of experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
+ Strong understanding of IT security best practices and compliance for government systems.
+ Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Server+).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficiency with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware.
+ Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
+ Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM).
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have an active Secret Clearance
+ Must be able to obtain a DHS Suitability
**Physical Requirements:**
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
