About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to join us. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain the software and server configuration according to WMATA standards and good industry practices.Perform upgrades, patches, and installations.Coordinate with the Project Manager, technical leads, IT Infrastructure and Operation and Cyber-Security Enterprise Architecture, database administrators, and other WMATA stakeholders to expeditiously troubleshoot service failures.Create and maintain appropriate monitoring procedures and reports.Manage the product migration from development to production.Provide clear, accurate communication regarding planned and unplanned service outages according to WMATA standards.Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation regarding the system environment, standards, and procedures.Develop or acquire reports and dashboards on system health; create and execute test plans related to systems health; andStay up to date on the latest components, upgrades, patches, and releases. Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience

Experience:

3 – 5 years of recent continuous experience in system administration:NLog 4.7.13 Logging/monitoring/alertingELK Stack + elastalert Logging/monitoring/alertingExperience with server configuration for the specified system.Experience creating and interpreting system health, capacity and configuration reports, dashboards, and widgets.Experience in software requirements analysis.Excellent communication skills.

Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Visa Holder
